Listen To Your Body

I hope you all had a great week a nice first advent weekend?

However today I woke up feeling kinda low.
Like not sad or anything – but just really really exhausted. I felt that my body really needs a break.
I’ve really done a lot of Yoga the last couple of days and had an intense practice, and apart from that we also traveled from A to B every day to see as much as possible.
But after waking up with sore muscles today I knew I had to change down a gear.

You really take more time to really listen to your body.
Instead of thinking: well, today is Monday, there is a slight wind, so I could do that and that, you should better think of: well, today is Monday, I’m not feeling very well today so I should do that and that instead.
That way you really start the day more balanced with yourself, don’t you?

Maybe you know that: you’re on vacation, or in a new city, or just in your every day life and want to do as muuuuuch as possible. Maybe you’re also a blogger like me and you want to jump from one event to the other and do as much as you can because you’re soo motivated.
Yes – I know it pretty well! ;)
But my advice: take a break and listen to your body.

Are you really satisfied with the way you are living today?
Should I really go to this event in the evening or should I better leave it?
Should I really go to the gym this morning or should I better sleep an hour longer?

I know: the first answer you get will be from your conscience!
We think – just because we don’t do EVERYTHING that’s on our to-do list directly on Monday we should have a bad conscience.
But to be honest: nobody cares if you’re going to the gym or the yoga studio this morning or not, right?

Or, in other words:
Why don’t you just swap your exhausting Vinyasa class for a restorative Yin class?
Or why don’t you swap your spinning class with a long walk outside?
Or why don’t you swap your late evening work in front of the computer with a hot bath to get some new ideas?
Why don’t you swap your oh-so important lifestyle event for a nice evening at home with your best friend?

You don’t always have to shut down your whole system in order to take a little break.
Just change down the gear but do everything with awareness!

That’s my advice for this week :)

Listen to your body!!

Start this fresh week fully aware and satisfied and enjoy every single moment!
Do something awesome this week!
